Casablanca: 4 Days of Connection, Collaboration, and Culture
From 13 to 17 May 2026, colleagues from across Clermont Trust Group’s international offices came together in Casablanca for Clermont Global Gathering 2026. The event included business sessions, shared experiences, team activities, charitable initiatives, and time together as one global team.
Bringing together more than 130 colleagues representing over 20 nationalities, the gathering created space to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and reflect on the culture and values that continue to shape Clermont Trust across jurisdictions.
What stays with people after an event like this is rarely just the agenda, the activities, or even the setting. It is the energy between people.
Throughout the week, colleagues came together in one place, some reconnecting after years of working closely, others meeting in person for the first time. What quickly became clear was that, across countries, cultures, and time zones, Clermont Trust Group is united by a genuine and strong sense of connection.

Clermont Global Gathering 2026 — One Team, One Voice
A Gathering Built on Connection
Clermont Global Gathering 2026 was more than a corporate event. It reflected how our organisation works as a business: relationship-led, internationally connected, and built on shared values. It was also a chance to celebrate, together and in advance, Clermont Trust Group’s 30th anniversary, which will be marked later this year.
Martin Chesler, CEO of Clermont Trust Group, said during his interview in Casablanca:
“What I am most proud of is the culture we have sustained, nurtured, built across our global platform. When they get together, our colleagues from all over the world, ones who work together, ones who don’t, the energy in the room is incredible.”
That energy could be felt throughout the programme, from formal business sessions to the more informal moments in between. Conversations continued over coffee, at dinner, and during team activities, where new connections formed and existing relationships deepened.
The gathering also reinforced something central to Clermont Trust’s identity: for a business built on long-term relationships, trust is strengthened through time, understanding, and genuine human connection.
As Martin also noted: “It’s a wonderful opportunity to strengthen those bonds. You cannot build trust over screens.”

One Team Across Offices and Jurisdictions
For Clermont, bringing people together in person is not simply symbolic. It supports the way the business works every day.
As Elliot Goodman, Managing Director of Clermont Trust Group, emphasised:
“It is important that our teams collaborate, that they have long-term relationships, that they trust each other. That’s vital.”
That principle runs through both the Group’s internal culture and the way Clermont serves its clients. In a business defined by long-term relationships and cross-border complexity, collaboration is essential.
Elliot also reflected on what “One Team, One Voice” means in practice:
“What it means for me is a common language… and that language is driven towards a culture of delivering excellence.”
That common language reflects not uniformity, but alignment: diverse perspectives across the Group brought together by shared standards and a commitment to professionalism and service. The gathering made this especially visible. Across presentations, team discussions, and informal exchanges, there was a clear sense that colleagues were not simply representing separate offices, but contributing to one connected organisation.
Culture, Collaboration, and Belonging
Culture is often described in broad terms, but events like this bring it into sharper focus. It becomes visible in the way people engage with one another, share knowledge openly, and show respect across teams and functions.
Kim Grover, Executive Director of Clermont Trust Group, observed during the gathering:
“The culture at Clermont is really built upon creating and developing a safe working environment where people feel that they have the ability to communicate openly with their colleagues across all offices and to collaborate.”
She also highlighted the importance of gathering in person:
“It is wonderful, and it is so nice when we have an off-site as we’re having here in Casablanca because you really have more time to sit with your colleagues from different backgrounds, different cultures, and learn about them… and you will always find common ground.”
That sense of common ground was one of the defining themes of the week. Beyond the agenda, what stood out most was how naturally people connected, with professionalism, humour, warmth, and a genuine sense of belonging.
This was especially meaningful in a Group representing more than 20 nationalities. The gathering created space for that diversity to be seen, appreciated, and shared.

Looking Back, and Looking Ahead
This year’s gathering carried additional significance as Clermont approaches its 30th anniversary later in 2026, offering a chance to reflect both on how far the business has come and on the qualities that have remained central to it.
For Jeffrey Margolis, Co-Founder of Clermont Trust Group, the moment was both personal and forward-looking:
“As far as I’m concerned, having started the company so long ago, 30 years ago, to reach this point, Casablanca 2026 is a huge milestone. To say I’m proud of what I started is an understatement. I feel immense pride in Clermont.”
That pride was not only about growth in numbers or offices, but about the people and culture that have shaped the Group over time.
Jeff also spoke movingly about what it meant to experience the atmosphere of the gathering in person:
“The friendship and the warmth and the love that I feel from people… it does make me a little emotional. And it is invaluable.”
It was a powerful reflection. Growth can be measured in many ways, but one of the most meaningful is cultural: whether a business has retained its values, humanity, and sense of purpose as it has evolved.
Looking ahead, Elliot Goodman also pointed to the importance of continuity and future leadership:
“They are tomorrow’s leaders. And they will take the business forward and they will look after the future generations of our clients in the same way that we have.”
That perspective felt especially fitting at a moment when Clermont Trust is reflecting not only on its history, but also on the people who will shape its future.

Alongside meetings and strategic discussions, the week included team-building moments, social activities, and charitable initiatives that reflected another important dimension of Clermont’s culture: its commitment to people and community.
Taken together, these experiences created something more lasting than a successful event, reinforcing the relationships that support day-to-day collaboration and shape the future of the business.
What remained after Casablanca was more than a collection of strong memories. It was a renewed sense of what Clermont stands for: professionalism with a human face, international reach supported by genuine connection, and a culture built through shared experience.
Clermont Global Gathering 2026 was a reminder that across offices, jurisdictions, and cultures, what connects Clermont most powerfully is its people. And that remains one of the Group’s greatest strengths.
